It started with a horse

01 — Childhood

A child on horseback

I have been riding since I was six years old.Horses have always been a big part of my life. What started as a childhood passion slowly became something much more. Over the years, riding became a way of spending time outdoors, discovering new places and building a real connection with horses. For several years, I ran my own stable on the Polish coast, where I organised trail rides and riding lessons. That experience taught me that the best moments in the saddle are not always about the riding itself. Sometimes they are about where the trail takes you, who you meet along the way and what happens between one place and the next.

02 — The trip

Falling for Albania

I have always been drawn to travel, new cultures, warm places and landscapes that feel different from home. Two years ago, I visited Albania for the first time.I came as a traveller, but something about the country stayed with me. The mountains, the coastline, the villages, the people and the slower rhythm of everyday life.On my last day, I had one thought:“One day, I’ll live here.”

03 — The move

A car full to the roof

A year later, I was driving south. My car was packed almost to the ceiling, my destination was Durrës and I had no idea exactly where this new chapter would take me.But I knew I wanted to try.Albania slowly became home. What began as a holiday became a completely different life, and with it came the idea of combining the two things I had always loved most: horses and travel.

04 — Today

Two passions, one trail

Gaja Adventures grew from that simple idea. What if you could discover a country from the saddle, slowly enough to actually experience it?Not just see the landscape, but ride through it.Not just visit a village, but meet the people who live there. Not just try the local food, but sit down and share it after a day in the saddle. That is what I want these journeys to be about.Small groups, authentic routes and experiences that feel connected to the places we visit.

Albania is home,
but the journey doesn't end here.

Albania will always have a special place in Gaja Adventures. It is where I live, where this idea began and where many of our adventures take place. But I also want to share other places that are worth discovering from the saddle.Poland, Morocco, Mongolia and more destinations are becoming part of the Gaja Adventures journey. Each one has its own landscape, culture and rhythm. The idea stays the same:See the world differently. Ride through it.

I found a different way to travel

(01)

Authentic

I want to show places as they really are, with their beauty, character and imperfections.

(02)

Unhurried

There is no need to rush from one attraction to another. The horse sets the pace.

(03)

Connected

The journey is about more than riding. It is about meeting people, sharing local food and experiencing everyday life along the way.

(04)

Respectful

The places we visit and the horses we ride with always come first. I choose local partners who share the same care and respect for both people and animals.
